GUWAHATI, March 4: Guwahati Cricket Coching Centre (GCCC) and Air India won their respective matches in the 2nd All India Airtel Santosh Roy T-20 Cricket tournament held at the Nehru Stadium today. In the first match of the day, Gauhati Cricket Coaching Centre defeated Cricket Associaiton of Bengal (CAB) by three runs. In the other game, Air India beat Gauhati Town Club by five wickets.
The first game was a close encounter. In reply to Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre’s total of 156 runs for the loss of six wickets, Cricket Associaiton of Bengal were bolwed out for 153 runs. Mrigen Taliukdar (34) was the highest score for the local outfit. On the other hand, Sudip Chaterjee (53) of Cricket Associaiton of Bengal scored the only half century in the match. Bikash Chetri picked up four wickets to turn the match in favour of Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre.
In the second match, Gauhati Town Club batting first, set a target of 121 runs. Air India reached the target in 19.2 overs losing five wickets.
