GUWAHATI, April 7: It might not be a perfect debut for Abu Nechim Ahmed in the Indian Premier League but the official website of Mumbai Indians has stood behind the young pacer from Assam. According to them, Abu demonstrated his great potential in the game by generating speed of 140 kmph consistently during his two overs spell.

Abu, a resident of Jalukbari area of the city, joined Mumbai Indian this season and from the very beginning he caught the eyes of the coaches of the team. His good performance in the net finally paid the dividend when the bowler was included in the first XI against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday night after left hander speed star Zaheer Khan failed to pass the fitness test.
