New York, Feb 7 (PTI) Michael Phelps might have won eight Olympic medals but he had the toughest time of his life explaining the published pictures of him smoking pot to his mother.Michael Phelps said it "definitely wasn't easy" speaking about the controversy to his mother who is a middle-school principal, the US weekly reported."Seeing my mom reminded me of how it was the day after I got my DUI(Driving under Influence of Alcohol) and I swore to myself I'd never do that again," said Phelps.Phelps was arrested at the age of 19 for 'DUI' back in 2004."We've been talking a lot, It's something I am going to have to live with, and something I'll have to grow from. This was stupid, and I know this won't happen again." said Phelps The Olympic gold medalist also got the boot from one of his primary sponsors,'Kellogs Cereals' after they decided to not use Phelps' image in their advertisements following the drug controversy.
